I use After Effects for the "heavy lifting." If a video needs a complex sky replacement, glowing saber effects, or smooth speed ramping (Time Remapping), this is the tool I reach for.
Most of my AMVs and high-energy edits rely on AE's graph editor to ensure every movement is perfectly fluid and organic.
